Yeah looks like he's been replaced by Van Der Ven who they started today. Big problem for us as Ben's been our main player getting minutes at the top level in recent times
Looks like he will be back up to Udogie and VDV, so it's not like he'll never play, but significantly reduced minutes

Stuff like this only convinces me more that the slide is well and truly on, half of the team don't start for their clubs, the keepers are all well down the pecking order or well down the leagues, ageing players not starting Page gradually morphing into Gould, it's looking a bit grim at the moment.

Excellent performance tonight. Commentators pointed out his defensive effort but his progressive passing in first half started all of Spurs' attacking moves in the first half.

Proving what many of us thought, that he's a very capable CB in a back four. I think we should give him some serious consideration in that position, he's a top level defender playing for a top team in the Premier League

I will concede he's done much better there than I expected, given that the few earlier performances in that position under Mourinho were very shaky. I would still have some nervousness about us trying it - Spurs are a bit of a unique case in the system they use and their general attitude - their aggression, emphasis on attacking football, their possession dominance- I do think it would be a very different test for Davies to play that position for us compared with Spurs, but his performances this season has certainly made that prospect for us much more realistic.

I always get the fear when seeing names bumped up to the top of the page - is it an amazing performance or injury?
Ben's probably having the best season of his life but there's talk online about him picking up a hamstring injury last night.
