Bielsa must rate him to a certain degree because he keeps bringing him on for Leeds and probably could have signed someone deemed better than him in the summer to take his place if he didn't feel he had the potential to be a useful top flight player. He usually plays in 'the hole' though where he seems to be most effective for Leeds. We play him up front and he's not a striker, so why Page is trying to force it I have no idea.

Did he do/offer anything much when he came one today?

Did he do/offer anything much when he came one today? Yeah he was quite lively. Although Leeds didn't create a lot, when Tyler came on he was definitely getting involved more than Rodrigo. Again he does seem to be more of a no.10. Will be interesting to see Tyler & James get a run in the team at the same time if possible

Having two of our attacking players working with a manager like Bielsa could prove to be a really good thing.

He had a half decent shooting opportunity when he came on but fluffed it completley,he seems to have no composure at all in front of goal which is strange because he ball skills seem decent enough,he needs a mental coach or something.

Regular starts, be it at Leeds or temporarily at a lower level, would benefit him a lot, nothing helps you more than regular football.

Taken off after 55, he’s just bang average and definitely not a striker.

Afraid to say he definitely was bang average in this match and looked gutted when he was subbed off. He's clearly struggling at the moment. He did show some quality at the end of last season (it's been somewhat exaggerated on here, but there were a few good moments) and there's a reason he's been so highly rated since he's been about 15. But he doesn't look any closer to unlocking that talent - the opposite in fact. Hopefully he'll find some confidence and form soon.

I think it's clear that his confidence has taken a bit of a battering of late, Estonia was the perfect chance for him to announce himself on the international scene but it just didn't happen and from what I've been reading and the little I've seen it wasn't really happening for him before or since that game. If nothing changes I think he needs a loan move in January to get some regular starts and confidence, he's clearly rated by a very highly respected manager so I don't think he should be written off just yet.

Needs regular minutes as a number 10 under a manager who can improve good attacking output
If he starts scoring/assisting frequently in the next couple of years, I think he'll be a quality Premier League player. People would appreciate his all round game much more then as well

Yeah a lot of the parts are there for him to become a really good player

As a ten but not a striker, his decision and finishing is too poor.

It's not like he's hardly played any football and only getting sparse minutes here and there. The main positive thing I've seen from him is the ability to hold on to the ball and a little bit of dribbling.

On for Raphina in the 70th minute. Let's see how he does.

3 short dribbles ending with 3 short accurate passes. Booked for a trip. 1 short dribble and tackled for a throw in 1 long run with a nice ball into Rodrigo who had a shot on goal.
4 passes 100% accuracy Worked hard to get back into defensive positions. Looked to get into supporting positions in attack

Just came on for the last 20 vs Brighton, had 2 good chances and one ok chance to score. Just cant get a break in front of goal cant he? Either incredibly unlucky or needs to work on his finishing.

Would be incredible if Biesla is proven right!
We criticise teams for Premiership managers not giving Welsh talent a chance but Biesla is the opposite so far:
- Dan James top of his list. Has been OK but has not hot his straps yet - Tyler Roberts - done nothing before to vindicate his manager's faith against a fairly dismissive fan base but lets hope this run of form leads to something of substance, injects a permanent level of confidence / consistency. As we have stated he seems to have it all - just needs that final piece of the jigsaw to fit in place to make him an effective player!
Biesla also apparently rated Wilson?
How about Neco goes on loan to Leeds? Would fit their attaching style?

At bloooooody last. He had a few chances against Brighton, so hopefully this is the break he needs, and the confidence boost.

Played very well that first half! He did indeed. Took his goal really well, he could see the space and was pointing to Raphinia where to put it. Hell of a cross to be fair but a real strikers finish. Had an eventful 10mins during that period, got booked (unluckily) and had another good effort tipped over. He was quiet in the second half as were Leeds as a whole but Tyler had a good showing overall on his 100th appearance for the club which is quite surprising actually.
