I watched the game via the Red button. I was really surprised that CB Amelia Ritchie is only 16! She looks like a class act, definitely one for the future. Angharad James and Natasha Harding are best when playing in midfield/attack but they did well as full backs! Really good performance, especially in the 2nd half. Sarah Wiltshire must be injured?

The anthem farce was quite a cock-up, a problem with the CD they had it on according to the announcer. Also, midway through the first half, said same announcer made repeated calls for those of us that were standing in the terracing to find a seat, as the killjoys from UEFA had insisted we did so. Again though, that should have been made clear before the game started by club officials.
All that aside, we played well, totally controlling the game after the first goal and clawing back some of our goal difference in the process!

Made it difficult to tell how many were actually there. It looked like a decent crowd. We were all asked to find a seat in the Turkey match there last year, although about a dozen of us managed to watch the second half from behind the goal.

Yeah it was a pretty decent crowd, there weren't too many gaps in either the stand I was in or the one opposite me where the tv cameras were. See the BBC's reporting that UEFA are looking at the standing and the anthem cock-up - www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/34945734I can't say I agree with UEFA's insistence that we all sit down, particularly as nobody was inconvenienced by it, but the club stewards said they would probably be fined if we didn't, so I relented. I do think the club were also at fault though for not mentioning it before kick-off, especially if it's happened before.

Fair do's, Jess Fishlock is a great player, she was involved in 3 of the goals and its no wonder she has played all over the planet.

Drew 2-2 in Israel.
They were 1-0 down at half time. 2 goals from Natasha Harding put Wales in front only to concede an equaliser 7 minutes from time.

Wales should have won by the sounds of it... 13 chances... 9 of those on target... The Israel keeper made 8 decent saves. It was a match Wales really needed to win mind. It's going to be very hard from here. Wales will probably need four wins on the bounce to have any chance of a top two finish.

I can't see any other scenario where we could qualify. Four away matches in the first five fixtures, with the top two seeds away first... Who organised our fixtures?!

If Norway beat Austria at the start of June, then the group opens up for Wales. Three wins out of three (Norway home, Israel home & Austria home) would then mean we finish above Austria in second place.
Any idea when the venues for the remaining three games will be announced?

Quality performance against a world class side. Love the tweet of Hennessey, Gunter & Ledley watching the game. Ledley is probably just watching Jess Fishlock for tips on how to play so soon after a broken leg.

They played really well, more than held their own against a quality side. Took a couple of defensive lapses for them to get the breakthrough, mind the second goal was still a great finish. Plenty of positives to take into the next campaign though!

www.faw.cymru/en/news/ludlow-world-cup-draw-its-great-opportunity/It would be great if we could give the girls our support. The majority of us are totally against a Team GB women's side, we should support Wales. So let's try and help crowd numbers at games, even if only 5 of us convince a few family and friends to come along then it would be something. I wonder if S4C can get the rights to show the games...

Where do they play the home games? I think they spread the games around the country. I know they played in haverfordwest not so long ago. The first 2 games are away to Kazakhstan and Russia which makes it a difficult start to the group. A win against Kazakhstan and a draw in Russia would be a superb start. The group winners qualify automatically and the four best runner ups enter a two-legged play off.
