By now we all on here know you a "reporter" All you are doing by continually posting these links on here is trying to get clicks on your paper's site. It's becoming a bit tedious now.

I mean yes he is as that's kind of part of his job but it's actually content people want to read about. If you don't want to read it, simply don't click the link. Tom is a proper Wales fan and really cares about this kind of stuff so I'm happy to see content like this on the site.

If it adds to debates, which in this case it does, then I don't see an issue. In fact, your retort does less to add to this thread than the post you have replied to. Can't wait for the new Kop to be built, Cardiff fans, how does safe standing fare at the CCS?

I’m in the safe standing area of the Canton for Cymru games. It’s a simple barrier that doesn’t really change much but allows you to lean forward on something like the old terraces. It also prevents idiots from pushing people forward down the rows when aiming for high score limbs so it’s a thumbs up from me.
Safe standing in the new stand at Cae Ras will obviously indicate it’s the standing section so at least those who like or need to sit will know to avoid it.

Most people if interested in Welsh football will already have read and know about this. To me it is just unashamed promoting of his pieces. If he started linking to journalists from other papers it would show a desire to share news, as it stands it just looks like self promotion to me.

Lighten up folks It's Caws! 👍 I think he mentioned a while on Twitter back that football forums can be a toxic place. Anyway, bring on international games at Y Cae Ras!

There was a good crowd and a cracking atmosphere at the Racecourse against Trinidad and Tobago, our last international match to have been held there (20/03/2019).

Would love to see more games played in Wrecsam, and that's as someone from Cardiff. I love that the games are on my doorstep, but I don't see the need to play every single game there. Qualifiers yes, but aside from that I'd like to see games moved around more Gogs are so loyal to the national team so I think the fans from the north deserve to have more games close to home. An expanded Kop would be great news in this respect - out of interest what difference will this make to capacity overall?

If we cornered it off it could go over 17000.

I have the upmost respect for the people who make the trek south for games in Cardiff, sometimes getting home at 3am & later after games. However the solution lies in greater infrastructure within Wales because Cardiff is the capital city & the role that the CCS has played in our success over the past 10 years is undeniable & games will be staying there.

From someone who lives in Cardiff most of the time I’d be over the moon to see some games in Wrexham. The gogs deserve it but also it’s just a brilliant old stadium that’s seen plenty of famous Welsh football moments itself. Imagine the Kop re-opened, fully standing for a big Wales qualifier… it would be bouncing!
I think a realistic aim is one or two NL games to start with and then one or two of the smaller qualifiers too. Because all that being said, the players prefer the CCS

This is one of the reasons I feel sorry for the Wrexham fans (potentially) having to choose between the club and country play off games.

It’s a long old day down and back if not staying over and even more expensive with the fuel costs.
broke down once in middle of nowhere on way back from Belgium game in euro 16 qualifying, had work the next day but got home 6ish in the morn. Still a great time though

I live about 3 miles from CCS so consider myself very fortunate to be able to watch all our home games on the door step. I’ve got so much respect and admiration for all the fans that travel down from the north, especially for the midweek games. I really hope they can get games back at the Racecourse soon as it’s totally deserved for the brilliant support over the years. I would also love to see a Wales game there as the last time I saw a game there was Wrexham v Cardiff in 93 the year both sides got promoted.

At best it will be token friendlies as even if / when the kop is developed 15k won't be big enough for a qualifier etc.
We have to remember that when we used to watch internationals at Wrexham it was predominantly all standing so crowds over 20k were accommodated.
For those of us with long memories you even sent a stamped addressed envelope with your postal order to the FAW office in Wrexham, not Cardiff then, to order your tickets on games that were deemed "all ticket"
NB. I say 15k won't be big enough on current form, obviously if we returned to some of the dark days pre "the resurgence" it could be adequate.

It's not just about football though, this enables a lot more events of various kinds to be held in north Wales. Only fair for the northerners to have that opportunity I could see us playing the odd Nations League game there in the future as well. I think this is something the FAW would be keen on for sure

Can't happen quickly enough imo, although even living 4.5 hours away from Cardiff I still feel that CCS should be the natural home of our qualifiers.
Geography being what it is, if you live on Anglesey or the north west then Wrexham is based in the most inconvenient spot in the north, having to divert off the A55 and still a 90 minute drive away (its no closer than Liverpool), so by no means just around the corner. Still a big improvement though.
