This explains it. Grew up in Talybont from age 7. Was also with the Swansea City academy. Went to the Independent school in England at 16 on a football scholarship. ego.today/jul19/index.html#p=8

Him and Lockyer both played really well. I've never been impressed with Lockyer in a Wales shirt, so I was particularly surprised at how he stood up against some top quality players. He was also much better on the ball than in our last double header and could have scored with a brilliant jump and headed effort.
Norrington-davies looks really good on the ball. Both of utd's goals at the end came down his flank, but presumably he was instructed to push forward to chase for the equaliser so the second wasn't really his fault. The third was just a howler from the keeper.

Yep - born in Saudi Arabia & raised in England, with 1 parent Welsh so he's eligible for all 3 countries. I'm guessing the Welsh parent is the Davies & the English parent is the Norrington. Either way he seems to be another feather in the FAW's cap based on this Pretty sure he was raised in Wales too and went to Penglais secondary school in Aberystwyth. Rhys Llewelyn Norrington-Davies. Apologies you are right! Just born in England I don't know how I forgot this - I read it before then asked my partner if she knew him because she's Penglais alumni as well Edit* I've just had a slap on the wrists cos she's went to Penweddig (Ysgol Cymraeg) not Penglais (Ysgol Saesneg) - I won't be mixing them up again!

Ha ha my old school as well , never thought penewddig would make it on here . His mother still lives local and I'd imagine the reason he was born abroad was his father was in the military

Another start - looking like one of the best moves of the summer at the moment! Had by far his worst game. Was probably the worst player on the pitch. I think W**ford had as plan that understood that Rhys was our out ball and to ensure he had nowhere to go with it when he received it. As a result he was short of options and constantly gave the ball away as a result. Was defensively competent against Ismaila Sarr though so that was pretty impressive.

Picked up a hamstring injury yesterday. Could be touch and go if he makes the squad.

I think he's played every minute for Luton so far? If so, that must have been a dozen games in about two months. It was bound to happen!
Edit - just looked it up, he's played 13 games in less than two months. As I say, it was bound to happen!

Yep, we currently have ZERO fit full-backs (although both James Bree & RND we on the bench v Huddersfield). Not great for Lockyer that Rea has moved back to CB ahead of him.

So Lockyer is not first choice at Luton? Worryingly way off. I'd still pick him if everyone was fit. However, I think he was being eased in and then the way circumstances have changed with full-back injuries and such, he has found himself on the outside looking in.

On Sunday, he looked like a player who hasn't played since pretty much the last international break due to injury.

Seeing on twitter that he has been recalled by Sheff United, and apparently will be sent back out on loan to Stoke. Seems strange given he was getting plenty of game time

I was wondering whether perhaps Luton had their natural full back/wing back returning from injury, and it was a move to ensure game time for RND. But that's a kick in the teeth for you guys if true. Doesn't really seem worth the hassle - how much can they be making really? From a selfish point of view I just hope that RND gets game time there

Davies Chester-Souttar-Fox Smith-Allen-Mikel-RND Powell-Vokes-Matondo Looks like it You could probably make an all Wales XI with Stoke City with a few ringers from the youth sides GK - Adam Davies LB - Eddy Jones (Stoke U23's) CB - Morgan Fox CB - James Chester RB - Henry Nash (Stoke U18's - centre back) CM - Dan Malone (Stoke U23's) CM - Joe Allen RM - Rabbi Matondo LM - RND ST - Chris Norton (Stoke U23's) ST - Sam Vokes We do have an eligible player on the list I but won't name!
