We have no idea how he's going to be after this injury, it's way too early to talk about selecting him. Agreed, hamstring injuries never take this long to return from. This must have been significant and serious. Firstly after such a long time out it takes time to build up fitness full stop. Secondly it could have a lasting impact on his physicality and ability. He needs a loan to a low end Championship team when he does return imo, but we still don't know when that will be 13 months later!

Not comparable to RND's situation imo

Not comparable to RND's situation imo He’s not expected back for another 3 months. The hamstring was not right when he played in a league cup game in august and he needed another op. It was not re injured. Totally comparable as it shows some hamstring injuries can be long term

Hopefully he'll get a Championship loan move in Jan to build his fitness and potentially play a part in our playoffs

It is good news. Only worry I have is to read Chris Wilder saying that such are their injury worries,RND may have to get match fit in the premier league.

On as a 90th minute sub v City. Let's hope it's onwards an upwards for him from now on.

Noticed that he was substituted after 56 mins - any one know if it was due to an injury?

Been getting quite a lot of game time recently but picked up another injury today. Not sure how serious at the moment Looked like it was a pretty serious one. Looked like he tried to stop sharply and it went pop. Worst game and place for it to happen though as he was already getting booed because of the way he cut his loan spell with us short in order to spend the 2nd half of the season at Stoke, belittling the club in his Stoke unveiling presser (wasn't helped by Wilder at the time being quite cleat it was RND's choice not his). So then had to be carried around the entire pitch to get down the tunnel.

RND would have been a shoeing for the Euro play-offs squad but as he's likely to be out for at least a month then we can only hope he gets a run of games before the end of the season. Beck should be seriously considered for a squad place.
I think's there's 5 places up for grabs in a 23 man squad between Cabango, Low, Cullen, Colwill, Beck, Matondo, Thomas, Burns, Da Silva & Lockyer if he miraculously recovers. I'd consider T Lawrence but he's no chance with Page there.
Ward Hennesey Davies
Roberts, Amps, Davies, Roden, Mephem , Neco
James, Ramsey, Wilson, James, Brooks, Harris
Johnson, Moore Broadhead

I’m pretty sure that Da Silva will be included again and probably Cabango to make up the defence. Sheehan will definitely be selected in midfield and likely Bradshaw up front (unless Mark Harris is rewarded for his form). So we’re then down to two remaining squad places, which I suspect Cullen and Burns will take. We usually take another 3 players for the wider squad though - I think they should go to Sorba, potentially Beck and Matondo

Sorba is playing well at the moment but its up for grabs. But christ the goalkeeping situation is bleak. The 3 probables have played 1 club game between them this season. We're half way through February.

Locks is officially not in the named PL squad. So can't play until next season. (Other than the FA Cup technically, but the fact he has been removed from that squad suggests they are not making a decision this season)

He's a Natural left sided FB that gives us better balance and moves Neco to a more favourable position.

Agreed with Neco want him on the right He has be a solid reliable player for us and its good to have him back going to have genuine competition at LB now think Bellamy wants Davies there, but with RND+Beck
