What’s the latest with RND? He was only supposed to be out for 16 weeks but it’s been about a year now since he played.
Not in the squad today.

That's over a year out with an injury, by which time we'll probably have booked our summer off from tournament football. We could have really done with him being available for the next few games. |

Know what you mean but I can be a bit of a pessimist so reserving judgement. He really is absolutely the right fit at the right time for us, so am gutted for him and us that he's missing out. |

Has there been personal circumstances, or psychological problems that have compounded this? I remember when he first had the injury it was "probably out until end of the season" territory, so for it to take more like 18 months is crazy, and there must be more too it

I hate to say it but this sounds like a career killer of an injury, he's been out for over a year and nobody seems to know what's going on. Absolutely gutted for him but at this point I'm writing him off as done, he's probably not going to play this season.

He's still only 24, I don't think it's fair to write off his entire career. It's a massive setback for him but he'll play for us again.

It's disappointing because he was really hitting form, and playing well at the top end of the Championship - which means he was a very good deputy for Neco
I'm sure he will be back eventually but it's hard to say what the impact of this will be

I don't know, over a year out with a hamstring injury is pretty serious stuff and sounds like exactly the kind of injury that you never fully get over. I hope that's not the case, not just because he's Welsh but because you wouldn't wish that on any player but this has the feel of something that isn't going to go away. |

Forget international. Hope he is strong mentally and gets a chance to play football again, even if it as a level a couple of leagues lower. Shame as he was progressing nicely and would have definitely added materially to our strength in depth at full back

Tyler Adams for Bournemouth has already been out for over 7 months with a hamstring injury and has just had another op that will keep him out for another 4 months.
Hamstring injury’s keeping players out long term is nothing new. Don’t right him off just yet.

Sheffield United defender Rhys Norrington-Davies has hit a significant milestone in his bid for fitness after more than 13 months out with a serious hamstring injury. The left-back has not played since suffering the damage away at Coventry in October last year.
The injury wrecked his dream of representing Wales at that winter's World Cup, and also kept him out of the run-in of United's promotion campaign. He is one of a number of players whose Blades contracts are set to expire next summer, with fears amongst some sections of supporters that he may not return.
RND should definitely be in our squad for our play-off match. When fit he should b our LB and Neco should replace Roberts. He was excellent against the Netherlands in teh Nations League match.
