I agree with this comment and have been there 3 times now. You should be reassured that the police will not let anything happen to you in the centre of Belgrade. By the way a morning or afternoon out is to go to the the two major football grounds and Titles mausoleum and museum. Looking forward to this trip There is a great cobbled pedestrian Street with plenty of bars and restaurants. The one traditional restaurant does a great mixed meat dish. It's a pity the brewery in the next Street has closed. it did great beer and food.

I fancy Serbia. Is the date of 11th June set in stone? I'm already looking at flights. If I don't get a ticket then I'll go for the ride and watch it in a bar.

You can take the date as set in stone although the venue not necessarily so. I want to do this and Georgia for definite. Cant make my mind up on Vienna, not a great fan of Dublin although I'll probably give in and go - handy having Stansted up the Rd. Moldova I'll be giving a miss probably.

Just to be on the safe side, you may wish to hold back on reserving flights until after their 9 October v Austria (and keep an eye on their September match v ROI) - just in case of crowd issues! There should certainly be more than enough away tickets to go around (+/- 2500?) and in mid-October the super cheap airlines (RyanAir, WizzAir etc) release their dirt cheap Summer fares...

No sign of any hooligan problems? I would like to go to Serbia but am quite wary seeing as they have a bit of a history of disorder over there. I was reading that the official recommendation by the IFA for their away trip in September is no team shirts and to keep as low a profile as possible. The fans on their forum are talking about 300 to 400 away support! Looking forward to hearing a full report from oscardelta IFA - body for team you beat in France FAI ................ Football Association of Ireland based in Dublin

Goodness. You're all so helpful! I'm based in Manchester so it looks like flying with Lufthansa via a German city. If I have to travel to another UK airport then I'll probably end up spending more.
I try and avoid the budget airlines. Norwegian were terrible for Stockholm in June. Late there and back. At least the eye candy made up for it.

Must admit a real preference to using LCC (Low cost carriers), Of 10-12 flights a year for god knows how many years I find myself rarely delayed and generally newer aircraft.

Was just reading through Corky's minutes from the Meeting FAW /FSF May 26th, 2015:
"There were approximately 5,000 full Tournament ticket holders and 7,500 half (3 match) tournament ticket holders making a total of over 12,500 [for our EURO 2016 Campaign]"
I think it is genuinely fantastic that we already have 16,000 full TT holders - a figure that might indeed end up closer to 20,000 ;=)

At least v. Austria we will surely still be in the race ... I hope ... It makes more sense, if they sell the first three games this year (Moldova, Georgia & Serbia) for £60 to the open public (which could include a free Gold Membership?) - which they are able to justify, as there is still no set venue for our Home 2017 games?

Its why I think the "Other" stadium will be the venue for both these games.
Not like a National Football Association not to try and make some cash.................... reckon min £1 Million extra.

There is though the disheartening feeling of the same persons getting the tickets every time so you do then end up with a closed shop like at Man Utd a few try ago where season tickets with big loyalty were passed down through the family.. Difficult. The 'closed shop' (as you see it) for Austria away tickets will be opening for business at midday on Wednesday. Will you be ready and waiting to do some shopping?

Exactly. How many away games have we sold out over the last decade? 2? Bosnia and Belgium?
