Anyone got any idea if there's an issue between him and Coleman?
I know he hasn't had a great season, with a few injury probs, and has had a few disappointing Wales games BUT..
Surely a young player who's just won another Scottish title and has a decent amount of champions league experience already should at least be in the squad ahead of Nyatanga??(just relegated to div 3 w Barnsley..out of favour for Wales for a while)
With most of the others like Collins, Ricketts etc there have benn injury issues but with Matthews it seems clear he's been dropped.
Something Coleman really needs to consider too is that Matthews and Bale are big buddies and it would be idiotic of Coleman to alienate his best player and biggest weapon...

Matthews' dad works for the same company as me, although in a different office. So next time i'll see him, I'll ask! Might not divulge if it is an issue, but might get some sense.

Also where has Eardley been? I think Matthews had the potential to be a great player and moving to Celtic a few seasons ago when Rangers where still there was a great move! Let's not forget he has played champions league football! However if any prem team would have him he has to go otherwise his talent will go to waste and that's sad. |

Would you play Matthews when fit or Gunter? Personally id play Matthews he's a bit more solid at the back quicker going forward and has that long throw we could utilise when needed? How long is he out for and what are others opinions? Ps new to the forum  |
